One of my favorite things to photograph in every session that I shoot is the relationships of the people in front of my lens. Relationships tell so much about a person and who they are right now…
And best friends tween and teen sessions…they might be my favorite these days. Seeing these kids as they are finding themselves and growing is such an amazing thing for me…and for their parents.
These two brought outfit changes and props and lots of giggles to our session. The Instax cameras were a huge hit and when we ran out of film, they quickly turned to their phones for more selfies…what is it about tween and teen girls and selfies? I have to admit, I find it pretty cute. Look at those smiles below. Can’t you almost hear their giggles?
We spent a couple of hours both inside and outside at my studio getting lots of images of them together and alone and really showcasing who they are at this important time in their lives and the fun that they have together. I think back to my best friend at this time of my life and how much I would love a session that was all about us. There’s no pressure to get that perfect family shot for the holiday card…this shoot is all about them. And guess what? They kind of love that.
