Today my sweet girl turns 18 and I am so very proud. This year has been so strange…one of my children newly away in college and graduating another (nevermind the weeks at home, distance learning, etc). I loved having these kids close together when they were young, but boy is this difficult as they are teens. I was so happy to have several sessions with my daughter this year because I am so not ready for her to be moving on. I know that she is more than ready…but turning 18 and graduating college in less than a span of a week might be more than this mama heart can handle. Shine bright, beautiful girl…go love the world as only you can.

Seniors…this year has been so very different from what we all expected. My heart hurts for the things that you had been looking forward to that ended up being vastly different from what you had been imagining your entire lives. Look for the little spots of beauty in what has been going on. In our home it meant more time together as a family than we had ever envisioned at this point in our lives. I’m thinking of you…there is still time to celebrate you, and it is well deserved.
