Although I don’t get there very often, shooting at the Great Salt Lake just outside of Salt Lake City is one of my favorite places to photograph. It’s a bit of a drive, but in my opinion, it’s very worth it. I love the different backdrops available…I love that it looks like a great soft beach, I love the rocks and the tall grasses.
I loved photographing this family of three daughters and I love that they brought along their family dog. Please don’t hesitate to ask about bringing along your pets to your session! I will always try my best to make sure that they get into the images as I know that they are an important part of your family as well. (it’s always best to mention before hand as some locations do not allow pets)
With the snow today…I’m sure the lake isn’t looking the same as it does in these images, but I just love the serene calmness of this backdrop for photographs. I love that you and your family shine in this location…as long as you can get past the smell and the muckiness of it, it’s beautiful. Be grateful that these images aren’t scratch and sniff. Would you like to see another session that I photographed at the Great Salt Lake? Here’s another beautiful family with three daughters at Salt Lake. And if you just need more inspiration on family sessions, take a look at some of the recent family sessions here.

Hi Carrie, I am in love with your Great Salt Lake family photos that you have taken! Can you tell me pricing for a session for a family? It would be for my family of four and our dog, my brothers family of four and their dog, and my parents with their dog.
Hi Rhonda, I’ll send you an email in a few minutes! 🙂
