This past Thanksgiving holiday the family and I were able to travel back to Washington for the first time (for Thanksgiving) in about 15 years. While there we had a great time but one of my favorite things was getting to see my mom’s home all decorated for the holidays. Growing up my mom always was very big into decorating for the holidays and it’s something that I’ve tried to do in my home too. But there is nothing quite like how mom does it. It was so fun to see so many of the same decorations that were out when I was a little girl. The same snow globe that I remember buying with her. The glass trees that were a favorite and the Annalee dolls with the candy canes and kisses. The same Norman Rockwell book and so many ornaments on the tree with a great story behind each one.
