Nearly every summer our family heads out to Lake Powell for a week to live on the houseboat and explore the waters. This year was no exception. We took the houseboat up Iceberg Canyon and found a great little patch of our own private beach and had so much fun swimming off of the back of the boat. Some years I bring my big camera and other years I just rely on a point and shoot or my phone. This year I took my back up camera and one of my older lenses and was able to get a few shots here and there. We were there with several of Jarrod’s family members as well as my sister and it’s such a great time to catch up with family and relax and enjoy the sun. Luckily for me there weren’t any big sunburns this year (usually I have a day or two when I’m suffering a bit) and there were no stitches this year (a couple years ago both my daughter and my father in law ended up needing stitches) so we consider it to be a pretty successful trip.
