Eight days in New York with three kids makes for a lot of exploring and many photo opportunities. We visited ground zero and the 9/11 memorial site. I knew that would be an emotional trip, but I had no idea just how much until we stepped into the visitors center to pick up our tickets and then the short walk to the pools. We spent quite some time there, explaining it all to the kids and just taking it all in.

We took a trip to Battery Park to take the boat over to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty. The kids had a great time running around Battery Park and watching the squirrels and the pigeons. On the way back from the island the boys had a great time pretending that they were on some kind of a mission.
