As a teen photographer in Salt Lake City I was so excited that this beauty was one of five girls that came in to the studio to celebrate their middle school friendships. You can see the group images here on the blog and see their sweet friendship. I just loved getting images of each of the girls alone and seeing their personality shine. These middle school years go by so fast and things change so rapidly, are you getting images of your children at this age? Make sure they’re smiling and showing off the braces – even when I know that they don’t want anyone to see.

Looking back on images from the past – what things change and what thing stay the same? Make sure that you’re documenting all of the big moments in your children’s lives as well as the little ones. Time goes by far too quickly. Do you remember your seventh grade year? What memories do you cherish? What do you wish you had photographs of to help jog your memory?
