This new family of three met me at my studio that is just south of Trolley Square near downtown Salt Lake City for their newborn session to celebrate their new family of three. I love this time in new parents lives, the baby is still so new (remember, I always recommend newborn sessions take place within the first ten days of baby’s birth to ensure the curliest and sleepiest of babies…even though we all know that babies are always on their own schedule).

This series of three images above just makes me so happy. I love seeing moms and dads loving on their new little babies. It’s the sweetest thing to see them looking so intently at those tiny little humans that they have created. Memorizing every little details because these first few days…month and years…go by in such a sleep deprived blur. That’s why these images are so important. Before mom and dad know it, this sweet little guy will be running and laughing and creating joy in such different ways. Enjoy these quiet moments 🙂 Even those middle of the night moments.

How sweet is this little guy? I just loved his little smile that we happened to capture as he was relaxing on the couch but I really do love the images with mom and dad the most. I look at my own children (2 of whom are already taller than I am at 13 and 14 years old) and I can barely remember those days when I could cuddle them in my hands on my lap…
