This is my final London post…and it’s quite photo heavy, so thanks for being patient 🙂 My sister and I had such a great trip and we loved when we were able to spend time with hubby as well. We crammed as many things into this trip as we could to see as many things as we could. I’m so glad that I was able to go on this amazing trip and will treasure these memories.
This is the view from the top of the London Eye, we had a great time on the ride and got to see a great view of the city…
Walking back to the hotel on early evening the sun was beginning to set behind Big Ben…
Another view from the top of the London Eye, here you can see the capsule in front of us. Each capsule can hold up to 20 people and it takes about 30 minutes for the entire trip around the wheel.
Westminster Abbey…perhaps the most amazing building I have ever seen in person.
The halls outside of Westminster Abbey…I was just so in awe of the architecture at the Abbey. So entirely different seeing and feeling it in person than reading about it in an Art History book.
The entire time we were in the Abbey, the weather was perfect…and as soon as we walked outside to explore the gardens a beautiful sunny rain began
Our last day in London we took a train to Windsor to see the castle and the changing of the guards. Traveling by train 50 minutes outside of London gave us a great view of the suburbs of England. When we arrived in Windsor we were so in love with the sweet little town.
This is the Chapel of St George on the ground of Windsor Castle and was another amazing example of beautiful architecture. One of the things that I found so interesting about this church as well as Westminster Abbey was the many people that were buried inside the churches.
