I wanted to share a quick storyboard from this sweet family that I got to photograph a while back. I just love this series of images…watching their adorable boy run into their arms and the look of joy on mom and dad’s faces. Just some of the many images from this shoot that show such love, happiness and emotion.
I had a great time photographing these two as we explored some new spots…quite a different day than the one I woke up to today. Snow here in Utah…makes me so happy! 
I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family last week and we were so lucky to get such perfect weather! I had a great time with them all and am looking forward to proofing the rest of the images – we got so many great ones! Thanks for a fun afternoon…enjoy your little sneak peek!
Explored a new location this week…just a couple quick shots of two of my three…
For today there is another What to Wear Wednesday for carrieowensphotography…This week’s example again comes from the help of a photographer friend of mine Kelsey Anderson, who has created some great combinations to get your mind going in selecting your outfits for your session.
This adorable family met me at their new home so that we could get some shots of them together before all the leaves fell…I have had the most difficult time narrowing their images down but I’ll share just a few here…enjoy!
This last image just might be one of my favorites…I adore how you can just feel how much dad loves his sweet family.
This past weekend I had the great opportunity to photograph this family…the parents, the three kids, daughter in law and the sweet grandson. We explored a beautiful canyon and found some excellent spots with some gorgeous fall color…enjoy!

No…this little trip up the canyon wasn’t planned…so please excuse the outfits, the uncombed hair and no socks on Mr Max. I said let’s go, they said ok and I get what I get and I can’t throw a fit

This family session of three was such fun, we got to explore this little area up the canyon here in the Salt Lake Valley. It’s still amazing to me after almost 10 years living in this area that less than 30 minutes from my doorstep there are beautiful locations like this. The colors are getting bolder each day, so if you’re looking for family portraits in Utah or children’s portraits – now is the time!!
