Even though it’s incredibly hot and sticky out here in Utah, Target has started pushing their back to school stuff (which does make me happy)…which will soon lead to Halloween (the *very* best time of year!) and Thanksgiving and Christmas. And if you’re like me, once July is over the rest of the year just melts into one giant month of Augu-cember and it can be scary that those once grand ideas of getting all these things done before the holidays turns into your New Years Resolutions for 2011. I know, I’ve been there So this year…let’s plan ahead

I recently had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family…their two sons are so much fun…the oldest is simply the perfect gentleman. He’s extremely well spoken and completely at ease with adults, a great kid to be around.

and his younger adorable brother…full of smiles and laughs once he warmed up a bit.

I was asked to take some family photographs of this beautiful family as they appeared just days before their second oldest son left on his mission. It was great to visit them in their home and take advantage of their beautiful front yard. We had intended to make sure we got some family shot…which I will post some of those in another post…but also focused on some individual shots as well.

Becky Higgins is someone that I have admired from the beginnings of my scrapbooking obsession. After I began teaching for CK and Simple Scrapbooks I was lucky enough to get to meet her and now can call her a friend. I look back on the first time I met her as a fellow teacher and remember being so star struck thinking how crazy it was that I was able to go to lunch with her and some of the other big names that I admired so much. I am pretty sure that I even told her that, and I remember her laughing at me, thinking I was silly for feeling that way. Becky is a generous and kind person and I am so proud to be a part of her Giveaway.
