bloom forum’s fab 15 weekly challenge | salt lake city utah children’s photographer | grow | week 15

This week’s challenge from the bloom forum’s fab 15 was grow or growth. The shot below is of the last batch of grass grown by a first grader in a little milk carton to grace my window sill. My oldest son brought home his grass that he planted and grew in the little milk carton 3 years ago…and my daughter did the same two years ago. And when my youngest got in the car with his tiny carton of grass that he had planted and watered and watched grow in his first grade classroom it kind of made me sad…he’s my last one. He’s growing…they’re all growing up so fast. These days are fun…the days before were fun…and the days to come will be fun. Each stage is so different and so very great for the different things it brings. But it still gets me a little sad that along with all the upcoming firsts, there are so many little lasts.
