With the new year comes new things and new happenings at Carrie Owens Photography, and with that there is a new feature on the carrieowensphotography|blog. It is the Friday Foto. Each week I will showcase a photo that is important to me in some way, sometimes I’ll elaborate on why it made the cut, other times the post will simply consist of a photo. It might be a photo from a session past, a photo from my family life or a photo from my phone…either way as this new year rolls in I’m feeling the need to do more, share more and be more. I’m looking forward to this new year and the many blessings and challenges it will bring my way.
This was our holiday photo this year, the one that graced the cover of the annual Owens Family Calendar and our holiday cards. The one that made me so proud to capture. The one that makes me happy when I see that a) everyone is looking at me, b) the kids actually are smiling, c) J and C are holding hands and have their arms around each other and their little brother. My three young ones…who aren’t seeming so young anymore. Off to watch the Rose Bowl – enjoy your New Year everyone!

I too feel so proud when I’m able to get a shot of my boys both looking at me and smiling, definitely a challenge as one of mine is a 10 mo old baby.
